The Friends have financed the printing and binding of a new edition
of the Lincoln Psalter which was collated and prepared by Richard
Apperley and Aric Prentice, our Director of Music.
It is a handsome volume hard bound in blue and blocked in gold, and
measures 8" x 12"
It contains all the chants and pointing to the 150 psalms and is used daily in the cathedral. The Psalter owes a great deal to the previous Lincoln Psalters, in particular the compilations by Colin Walsh, our Organist Laureate, and by the late Dr Philip Marshall.
It is available from The Friends' Office for a contribution to its printing costs. We have just (Nov 2009) taken delivery of a further print of the Lincoln Psalter. Unfortunately costs have risen and it must be sold at £15 + £2.50 post and packing.
